Winning night for PC teams

The Prairie Central varsity boys basketball team moves to 21-6 on the season after defeating Central Catholic 64-54 in a game carried live on Fairbury News with Jeff Curl calling the action.


Leading scorers were Levi Goad with 16, Drew Haberkorn with 14, Dylan Bazzell 13, Tyler Curl 9 and Andy Krenz 9.


Friday is senior night for the PC boys as they will battle Iroquois West at home then they will battle Plano in a home contest Saturday evening. The annual PC Music Boosters taco dinner fundraiser will be held Friday with the all-you-can-eat dinner for $8 per ticket from 4:30-7 p.m. in the PCHS cafeteria. Tickets can be purchased at the door.


Girls basketball team wins Tuesday


The Lady Hawks varsity basketball team won over Rantoul in a rescheduled game Tuesday night 60-25. Head coach Gabby Weber said it was solid team work from everyone as all Hawks scored. The girls battle El Paso-Gridley Thursday before heading to the postseason next week with regionals.
