
In addition to school issues, local voters had several races to decide Tuesday – ranging from township highway commissioner to village trustees.
After the unofficial results were released by the Livingston County Clerk’s Office late Tuesday evening, it appears the three winners for Forrest Village Trustee are Keith Beal, Robert Haab and Ronald Steidinger. They defeated Brad Brucker and Brittany Steidinger.
For Chatsworth Town President, incumbent Richard Runyon defeated Michael Ifland 211-57.
The race for Pleasant Ridge Township Highway Commissioner saw Derek Stephens defeat Anthony Brown 52-45.
In Fayette Township, Matthew Steidinger defeated Mark Yoder for highway commissioner by a vote of 61-36.
There were no contested races in Fairbury. David Slagel won re-election as mayor with 100 percent of the vote. He received 1,190 votes. Bruce Weber retakes the seat for Ward 1 Alderperson while Gerald Hoffman was re-elected in Ward 2, James Tipton in Ward 3 and William J. Schmidgall in Ward 4.
Livingston County had a 24.6 percent voter turnout in the Consolidated Election.
