Two teachers in the Prairie Central School District have received Empowering Education grants through Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative.
Casey McCullough with Prairie Central High School received a grant for digital photography and technology skills while Raquel Lawrence with Prairie Central Upper Elementary received a grant for Curriculum Night 2025.
Eastern Illini awards up to $20,000 in grants to school districts each year in its service territory. The company says it is pleased to award the grants to educators who inspire students and provide them with memorable learning experiences.
“We value our schools and teachers, because their students are tomorrow’s leaders, scientists, inventors, entrepreneurs and engineers,” said EIEC.
