Another impressive performance for the Prairie Central Hawks as they defeat Eureka 45-34 during the Roanoke Benson Shootout hosted at Eureka College Saturday afternoon.
In the game broadcast live on Fairbury News with Mike Norris and Erich Murphy on the call, the Hawk defense dominated. Dylan Bazzell topped all scorers with 18 followed by Levi Goad with 10, Drew Fehr with 7 and Drew Haberkorn with 4.
PC head coach Darin Bazzell feels the Hawks played phenomenal defense.
“Those guys came out of football ready to go and many of them are nursing injuries,” Bazzell told Fairbury News after the game. “We are not really our full strength yet but we are getting there and hopefully by the Williamsville Tournament, we’ll be hitting on all cylinders.”
Bazzell said senior leaderhip and this year’s football success helped carry his players through games like this.
