Season ends for girls

The season came to an end for Prairie Central girls basketball Monday evening as the Lady Hawks fell to St. Joe-Ogden 43-29 in the Clifton Regional Semifinal.


Jayla Hammond was PC’s leading scorer with 10 points in the game broadcast live on Fairbury News. Lucy Whitfill and Kelly Wilkey tied with 8 rebounds and Whitfill also had 5 steals in the game.


The Hawks had won by three points last Saturday over Iroquois West at Gilman to advance to Monday’s game.
