PC wins in Bloomington

Fans attending Monday night’s boys basketball game between Prairie Central and Bloomington High School got their money’s worth.

In what PC head coach Darin Bazzell describes as an “unbelievable” high school game, the Hawks defeated the Raiders 96-89 in a game played at BHS and broadcast live on Fairbury News with Eric Stock and Joel Swanson calling the play by play.

PC was led by Dylan Bazzell with a career and game-high 33 points. Drew Haberkorn had a career high 25 while Tyler Curl had a career high 23. Drew Fehr was welcomed back for his first basketball action of the season after a football injury last month.

“Fehr drew a huge charge late in the fourth to help seal the game,” stated Coach Bazzell.

The Hawks were 26 of 37 from the line. PC is back in Fairbury for its home opener this Friday night against St. Thomas More at 7 p.m. followed by a home Saturday game against St. Anne at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Both games will be carried live on Fairbury News. Eric Stock leads our broadcast coverage Friday evening with Erich Murphy behind the mic Saturday.
