The question for voters in the Prairie Central district was voted down, based on unofficial election results from late Tuesday.
The no votes were 2,716 to the yes votes of 2,400 for the Prairie Central proposition to issue $45,000,000 school building bonds. This vote total covers Livingston, McLean and Ford counties.
The results were as follows in the different areas:

The district asked voters for the issuance of school building bonds to build and equip a new elementary school building. This also included repairs and site improvements to Prairie Central High School, Prairie Central Junior High and Prairie Central Upper Elementary. Plans had called for closing the schools in Chenoa and Chatsworth.
