The Fairbury building which once housed the longtime ag business, followed by Crop Production Services and Nutrien Ag Solutions, has been demolished. Nutrien has constructed a brand new facility just west of town to replace this one along Walnut Street.
Nutrien manager Matt Durdan reports the business moved out to the new plant Dec. 16 and things are going well. The company is on track to be completely operational out of the new location for the 2020 crop year, according to Durdan.
An open house for the new fertilizer, chemical and seed facility is planned for Mar. 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
