Bonnie J. Traub, 87, Fairbury, died at 6:15 am Thursday, June 29, 2023 at her residence, Fairbury.
Her funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday, July 3, 2023 at the First Baptist Church, Fairbury with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Fairbury Apostolic Christian Cemetery at Graceland.
Visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 am Monday also at the church. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in-charge of arrangements.
The family suggests memorials be given to OSF Hospice; SELCAS; or the Fairbury Fire Department.
Bonnie was born April 8, 1936 the daughter of Chester and Vereene Elliott Stein. She married John Traub Sr. on October 30, 1955 in Sibley. He preceded her in death on June 29, 2019.
Survivors include one son, John (Dede) Traub Jr., Fairbury; Debra (Steve) Roach, West Palm Beach, FL; DiAnn (Charles) Leman, TN; four grandchildren, Abbi Leman, John (Kristin) Traub, Marta (Kevin) Collins, Ben Traub and five great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by one sister, Jean Kirby and one grandson, Christopher Leman.
Bonnie was a domestic engineer who farmed with her husband and was a broker and partner in their real estate business, Traub Real Estate.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Fairbury, had been a 4-H leader and member of the Jr. Women’s Club and Country Domestic Science Club.
Remember our Mom as a lady who loved to be on her lawn mower….. for her kind words to all ….. and her loving spirit.
