Timothy G. Reis, 62, Fairbury, died at 5:39 am, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Fairbury with Fr. Scott Archer officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury where a rosary will be recited at 3:30pm, prior to the visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Gera and Gracie Reis for their continued education.
Mr. Reis was born July 2, 1961 in Fairbury; the son of John B. and Rose Anne (Boland) Reis II. His father preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughters, Gera Reis of Wasilla, Alaska; Gracie Reis, Fairbury; his mother, Rose Anne Reis, Fairbury; three brothers, John B. (Jan) Reis III, Fairbury; Patrick J. (Jeannie) Reis, Fairbury; Michael W. (Lynn) Reis, Forrest; one sister, Geri A. Reis-Garcia, Pontiac; and many nieces and nephews.
Tim was a 1979 graduate of Fairbury-Cropsey High School where he participated in Baseball and Golf teams. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic church, Fairbury; and Indian Creek Golf and Country Club, Fairbury.
You could usually find Tim on a Golf Course, Bowling Alley or baseball or softball diamond. He was also a coach of Gymnastics for many years. His quick wit and competitive spirit will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
