Charles L. Hoselton Sr., 70, of Fairbury, passed away at 8:53 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024, at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday, July 19, 2024 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Cremation rites will be carried out at the conclusion of the visitation and burial will take place in Chenoa Township Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to Fairbury Fire Department or SELCAS, Fairbury.
Mr. Hoselton, was born November 27, 1953 in Fairbury; a son to Lewis and Lorraine (Jenkins) Hoselton. He married Nina Alverson on December 1, 1980 in Chenoa. His wife Nina, survives in Fairbury.
He is also survived by his children, Charles (Jessica Mackey) Hoselton Jr, James (Hayley Vedder) Hoselton, Joshua (Tamira) Hoselton all of Fairbury; one sister, Cindy (Daniel) Ramsey of Pontiac; five adored grandchildren, Anthony Thompson, Ayden Mackey, Zion Hoselton, Maren Hoselton and Indie Hoselton.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Bonnie Boulware and brother in-law, Mark Boulware.
Charlie was a 1972 graduate of Chenoa High School and worked as a mechanic for Union Roofing, Chenoa for over 40 years. He was a member of Fairbury Fire Dept. for 22 years and was a Councilman for the City of Fairbury serving over thirteen years.
Charlie loved his community of Fairbury and always had an interest in classic cars and hot rods. Thru his years he owned several classic cars and loved to tell stories about every one of them, his favorite being his Chevy Nova. He also was an avid collector of Hot Wheels, with a collection of several thousand. His greatest joys in life were his family and he was so proud of his children and his grandchildren.
