Obituary: Hildensperger

Bryan Hildensperger, 38, Fairbury, died at 5:55 pm Friday, January 10, 2025 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago.

Bryan was born December 9, 1986 in Pontiac, IL the son of Michael and Darlene Pickett Hildensperger. Survivors include his mother, Darlene Hildensperger, Fairbury, one brother, James (Asha) Hildensperger, Amsterdam, Netherlands and one sister, Kathryn (Chris) Weeks, Altha, Fl.

Bryan was a 2005 graduate of Prairie Central High School, Fairbury. Bryan had a passion for music that could light up a room. He loved to sing and play guitar, pouring his heart into every note. Music was his sanctuary, and he dreamed of sharing it with the world. He deeply loved his family and always strived to make them proud.

He also had big dreams of becoming a professional MMA fighter. Bryan was a talented athlete, an incredible high school football player who left everything on the field. His determination and grit were unmatched, and he carried that same passion into everything he pursued.

Bryan loved the simple joys in life, like fishing. He found peace on the water, surrounded by nature. He was also skilled in masonry work, dreaming of one day starting his own business—a vision he worked hard to make a reality.

Although addiction was part of Bryan’s story, it never defined who he was. He was a brother, a son, a friend, and a man full of dreams and love. He gave so much of himself to others, and even in his final moments, his generosity shines through. Bryan will give the gift of life to others through organ donation—a testament to his caring and selfless spirit.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.  A Celebration of Bryan’s life will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be directed to the family.
