Bob Billington, formerly of Fairbury, Illinois, passed away on August 30, 2024, at The Inn at Evenglow in Pontiac.
Bob was born March 15, 1929, in Lostant, Illinois on the family farm. He was one of eight children of Eugene and Guthrie Crews Billington.
Bob graduated from Saunemin High School in 1947. He served four years in the United States Air Force, serving as a Mechanic Specialist. He married Donna Steffens on August 16, 1952. The couple was married for 72 years.
Bob is survived by his wife, Donna, his daughter Kathy Billington Vaughan (Denny), his son Don Billington (Marcy), four grandsons, and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are four siblings, Mary, Susie, Walter, and Carol. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers David and Richard and sister Joann.
After retirement from Caterpillar, Bob enjoyed woodworking, crossword puzzles, and his family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandsons grow into successful young men.

Cremation care provided by Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury Illinois. A private graveside service will be held at Sunny Slope Cemetery, Saunemin, Illinois.
