The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department has released details surrounding a fatal crash Wednesday in rural Chatsworth.
Officers responded to 3350 East Road near 700 North Road for a crash with injuries. A deputy arrived on scene and discovered a pickup truck had crashed into a parked semi-tractor with a flatbed trailer while traveling south on 3350 East.
“The pickup truck had driven up onto the flatbed and crashed into a piece of construction equipment loaded on the flatbed,” said a LCSP news release issued Friday morning.
The driver of the white pickup truck was Thomas Stadler, 57, of Chatsworth, who was taken to the hospital and later succumbed to his injuries. The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
