Hawks top Cornjerkers




Prairie Central had another impressive performance on the court Tuesday evening as the Hawks defeated the Hoopeston Area Cornjerkers 75-31, in the 51st annual GCMS Thanksgiving Tourney.


In the game broadcast on Fairbury News with Marc Strauss on the call, Tyler Curl was leading scorer at 16, Levi Goad had 14, Gage Steidinger 14 and Avery Elder contributed 9. Curl was leading rebounder with 12 and 6 assists. Goad had 6 steals in the contest.


The Hawks are back in action this Friday at 4 p.m. against the Fisher Bunnies at 4 p.m. before the final game on Saturday from GCMS.


In other action from Tuesday, host GCMS defeated Iroquois West 50-47. The Falcons staged a comeback in the second half.
