Hawks earn share of title

In an impressive showing Friday night at Paxton, the Prairie Central boys basketball team earned a share of the Illini Prairie Conference title. The Hawks have the chance to win it outright on Tuesday against Central Catholic.


Friday’s scoring column included 11 Hawks in the 60-22 victory over Paxton-Buckley-Loda in a game carried live on Fairbury News with Mike Norris and Eric Stock calling the action.

Dylan Bazzell led the way for PC with 14 points, Cam Palmore had 12, Tyler Curl 11, Gage Steidinger 8 and Drew 5 with 5.


Pleasant Plains is the next opponent Saturday night at Williamsville for the IPC/Sangamo conference shootout at 7:30 p.m. Marc Strauss calls the play-by-play live for that one on Fairbury News.
