Prairie Central Hawk volleyball won all three levels at home against Herscher.
The varsity team went 2-0 (25-22, 25-23) meaning the Hawks are now 9-0. Top servers were Gyllian Davies with 8 service points and 2 aces and Gracie Edelman with 7 service points. Kerigan Fehr had 10 kills while Gracie Edelman had 17 assists. Davies and Adeline Kilgus had 1 assisted block and Davies had 9 digs.
“Prairie Central’s coaching staff are thrilled with how the girls played tonight,” said PCHS head volleyball coach Kirsten Smith. “They never gave up and called it a night but rather fought back with all they had.”
Even though it turned out to be a late night, the Hawks did not rest until it was all over. Herscher had some solid players and hit hard but PC did not shy away from the hits.
“Herscher did well at adjusting their serve receive and their offense to differ things on us but our girls were able to read their changes and adapt,” noted Coach Smith.
Sophomores went 2-1 (25-23, 22-25, 25-21).
Freshman went 2-1 (22-25, 25-23, 16-14).
