A single-vehicle crash Thursday evening near Chatsworth resulted in the driver being airlifted to an area hospital where he was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to Illinois State Police Troop 5.
Police say for unknown reasons, the vehicle involved crossed over the center line on Route 24 and went off the roadway into a ditch before striking a tree causing the vehicle to overturn in the middle of nearby railroad tracks.
The crash occurred at U.S. Route 24 at 3150 East Road in Livingston County at approximately 8:03 p.m. No further information has been released.
