In this trying year, our hometown grocery store is still there for us.
Even though there was no customer appreciation pig-out or traditional meat sales in 2020, Dave’s Supermarket is doing its best to keep products on the shelves for customers.
“Things changed on the fly but we’ve learned a lot, we’ve grown a lot and I’m just thankful for all of the support,” said Justin Steffen on a recent edition of Fairbury Newsmakers.
While everything was day by day there for a while, Steffen says the Dave’s team has been “phenomenal” during this time and the business leaned on the community, too. Dave’s added curbside pickup a few years ago and it was the perfect fit this year.
“We are really thankful to have that in place.”
Curbside pickup is a safe way to get groceries through a contact-less experience. Orders can be completed online or called in. The store is doing its best to accommodate as many orders as possible.
“If you need an order that day, we’ll do our best to make it happen,” Steffen explained.
In the current Dave’s Christmas ad, you’ll find the traditional hams along with whole ribeyes which the store is excited about. They have been trying to mix in meat items as the markets allow.
“Things have been a little harder to procure with some of the different struggles out there but at the same time, we are excited,” Steffen said.
A Dave’s Supermarket app is available from Google Play or the Apple store. Even if you don’t want to shop online, the free app allows users to view the weekly ad, digital coupons or recipes. Products in your cupboards can even be scanned and added to a grocery list.
