With the Consolidated Election only days away, Livingston County Clerk and Recorder Kristy Masching has issued some reminders for Tuesday (April 4).
Early voting, vote by mail and grace registration will be conducted prior to the election weekdays through Monday at the Clerk’s Office, 112 West Madison Street in Pontiac from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office will be open this Saturday, April 1 from 9 a.m. to noon.
On Tuesday, the Clerk’s Office will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. for grace registration and voting.
Early voting started March 10 and ends Monday. The process allows any registered voter in the county to cast their ballot at the courthouse prior to Election Day. Early voters must be registered Livingston County voters and no excuse or reason is necessary to apply.
Vote by mail ended Thursday and grace registration and voting is for new registrants or those who have moved and did not update their voter registration before close of registration. Voting takes place at the same time registration is completed in the County Clerk’s Office.
