Two threatened species which benefit from Prairie Lands Foundation natural habitats will be the focus of a presentation on Sunday, June 13 at Fugate Woods.
A program known as “Bluebirds ‘n Bats ‘n Citizen Science” will be presented June 13 starting at 4 p.m. at the Bluestem Boy Scout Pavilion at Fugate Woods Bridge. Hike in on your favorite trail or drive in and find a parking spot via the service lane entrance on 900 North Road. Just follow the event signs.
Volunteers Becky Shafer and Deb Bacigalupo will share their interests, guidance and the behaviors of these species. Those attending will learn what constitutes the appropriate habitat to support bluebirds and bats and will have a chance to win a cedar bluebird house made by Prairie Central High School construction students.
