The Fairbury blood drive is scheduled to take place next Wednesday, March 25 but the location has changed.
It will now take place at the Fairbury Fire Station from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and donors must have an appointment, no walk-ins will be accepted. Even if you have already made an appointment previously, you must verify the appointment by contacting the Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767 or by visiting www.redcrossblood.org.
"We definitely need appointment people - no walk-ins," monthly blood drive coordinator Barb Taylor said.
Those with appointments planning to give blood should use the west door across from the water tower. Taylor worked with the mayor and fire chief to utilize the fire station next week. Posters around town indicate the event will take place at the Baptist Church, but this is no longer the case.
