Blood drive collects 67 units





Fairbury’s August 21 blood drive, which was held at the First United Methodist

Church, collected 67 units.


First-time donors were Merryn Krenz of Chenoa and Shana Koehl Hetherington of

Fairbury.

 

Others donating were Cary Dehm, Alice Gordon, James McKeon, Tom Kilgus, Kent

Edelman, Betty Dray, Stan Blunier, Jennifer DeSchepper, Kim Kovach, James Stein, Bethany Brucker, Mark Edelman, Montie Gerber, Adam Gray, James Kearney, Donald Harms, Beth Weeks, Joe Palen, Rebeca Rivera-Garcia, Joel Zimmerman, Jacob Leman, David Hammer, Leann Brown, Curtis Meiss, Mark Haab, Steve Bashford, Kris Ziller, Jason Leman, Levi Steidinger, Erin Bittner, Kent Steidinger, Brian Hansen, Robert Bradbury and Karl Edelman.

Donors came from Piper City, Forrest, Gibson City, Chatsworth, Fairbury, Colfax, Chenoa, Lexington, Cropsey, Strawn and Sibley.

 

VFW Auxiliary Post #9789 of Fairbury furnished a Dave’s gift card to provide food for the donors and donated cookies. Those baking cookies were Lolita Dunahee, Judy Bennett, Cheryl Martin, Carol Drach and Mary Carter.

 

Volunteers working at the blood drive were MaryAnn Stork, Deb Moran, Kathy Fehr,

Linda Zick, Barb Taylor, Karen Munz, Beverly Forneris, Teresa Palen, Jeanie Searby, Judy Bennett. Kathy Cook, Karyl Kafer, Jayne Trowitch, Karen Harms, Lisa Kilgus, Katie Cavanagh, Josie Harms, Mark Hall and Lolita Dunahee.
