It was a winning Thursday for both the Prairie Central baseball and softball programs.
The Lady Hawk softball team pulled away with a great 12-1 win against Peoria Christian. PC had 13 hits with two doubles and two triples on the night. Pitching was strong with Katy Curl in the circle striking out 11 and walking zero. Coach Molly Cagley was happy with how her team played. They now travel to Tolono for another conference matchup.
PC’s baseball varsity Hawks had an exciting walk-off win Thursday against at tough BHRA team, scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh for a final score of 3-2. The Hawks now battle Unity High School on Friday afternoon in an away contest before returning home for a double-header against Eureka Saturday morning in Fairbury.
